Easiest Slow Cooker French Dip
- 3 lbs. beef sirloin roast
- 1 packet dry au jus mix
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 bay leaf, oregano, garlic powder, salt & pepper to taste
- 8 slices of provolone cheese
- 8 hoagie rolls, split lengthwise
Place the beef roast in a slow cooker. Stir together the water, broth and au jus mix; pour over the roast. Add spices. Cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours. Remove roast from the slow cooker and shred or slice. Open the hoagie rolls and top with beef and cheese. Serve with small bowls of the hot au jus from the slow cooker. OPTIONAL-Pop in the broiler to toast the sandwiches and melt the cheese. Serve with horseradish too if desired.
